Georges Cormier (1869 - 1955) fut un des 5 participants du fameux Raid Pékin - Paris dont 4 furent classée a Paris. Lui a la 3eme place et que le vaincoeur fut Prince Scipion Borghese (avec le journaliste Luigi Barzini qui publia aussi un livre sur cet course). Crazy the first 3 all had a journalist on board and all published a book after the race. The last better fourtht Victor Collignon had a mechanist on board and didnt published a book. This race is known as the very first automobile rallye in history. This example has the binding (with a broken back) of the Collège Rollin in Paris.
